Where are amber reflective studs found on a motorway?

Motorways can be stressful, and all the different coloured studs don’t make it easier.

Amber reflective studs are between the central reservation and the carriageway. On dual carriageways and motorways, they mark the right-hand edge of the carriageway. Amber-colored studs can be found on the main carriageway’s right edge, adjacent to the centre reservation.

Reflective studs of various colours are installed on the road between the lanes on motorways. When it’s dark or there’s limited sight, these aid in determining which lane you’re in.

When you notice amber studs, be cautious since at roadworks, fluorescent green/yellow studs may be used to aid distinguish the lanes that are open. These can be mistaken for amber studs.
